Why would you steal a sketch book?

Tue Sep 1, 2009, 7:22 AM
Someone finally found one of my sketchbooks and contacted me on Facebook about it.

Apparently some utter douchebag stole it while I was in theater (where it went missing) and has been keeping it in his room for more than a year now.

WONDERFUL.

There's nothing weird or creepy about that.

Why would you steal a sketchbook anyway? What good would it do you? Especially my sketchbook? In case you haven't actually looked at my gallery, then look at it. I'm not exactly a freaking artistic genius, my work is mediocre at best, and I've spent exactly none of my life studying art aside from public school art classes, mostly in elementary school. I have this DA mostly because I like looking at artist's work, and possibly getting inspired to make my art better.

NEW SUBJECT.

I like how DA added a criticism area, but I have yet to visit and I wonder how it is. It's probably just as juvenile as any other "art discussion" with people not really helping each other. I know my art is bad, I know the proportions are off, but unless you're going to tell me how I should fix it, or suggest a different technique, save it. Any time I've ever asked for crits (usually on Gaia) Here's what I get: "You're amazing!" "You suck!" "Fuck anime!"

...see how helpful that is? It especially helped me learn how to draw action poses. e.e

*note: the artist sucks at action poses*
